HSC and IB Year 11 2025 Subject Selection Evening

On Tuesday 4 June 2024 we held an Information Evening to walk parents and Year 10 students through the HSC and IBDP credentials (and the subjects within each) and the practicalities of the selection process to assist them in their decision making to choose the right stream for study in Year 11 and 12 at St Andrew’s Cathedral School. Mr Des Sinovich, Head of Careers and Pathways also provided input about the post-school environment.

All families have been sent the Subject Selection Handbook which outline course structure requirements for the HSC and the IBDP. 

Following this, we invite you to join us for the Subject Selection Evening on Tuesday 18 June.  At this event, you will have the opportunity to hear from teachers about specific HSC and IBDP subject information. It is a great opportunity to ask more in-depth questions about each subject and assessment structure etc.

Following this event, students will need to select their subject preferences by completing an online form by Sunday 23 June.  Students will be provided with your logon details closer to the date.

Once preferences are submitted, all Year 10 students will then be individually interviewed in early Term 3 to discuss their course and subject selection choices.
