Building Fund

The St Andrew's Cathedral School Foundation Building Fund was established to support the renovation, modernisation, and enhancement of school facilities. 

Projects supported by the Building Fund include the stunning restoration of historic Chapter House, the development of the ground floor Sports Centre and gymnasium, science laboratories and the Music Centre.

In February 2024 we finished the transformative renovation of our iconic rooftop at St Andrew's House. This included a new playground, climbing plants and gardens, a First Nations mural, an outdoor screen, upgraded handball and basketball facilities, flexible outdoor furniture and a 'chook palace'. 

This year we are reimagining a Design Centre that will provide greater scope for generating creative, innovative and artistic excellence via our classroom and co-curricular activities. It will be a place for students to experiment, develop new ideas, and showcase their work, inspiring others. It will provide enhanced hands-on learning experiences, additional space, and updated equipment and technology, empowering the School to embrace the ever-evolving word of technology and manufacturing. This aligns with our Service Learning approach, preparing the next generation to tackle global challenges.

Donations to the building fund go directly to support these projects.

Parents are invited to donate to the Building Fund when they pay their fees, with a suggested tax-deductible donation of $175 per family per term ($235 for Year 12 over three terms). While school fees cover operational costs, donations to the Building Fund ensure the continual enhancement of our educational facilities for the benefit of our students.
