Heath Bursary Fund
Sadly, there are families at St Andrew's Cathedral School who are impacted from time to time by difficult circumstances such as illnesses, life-changing accidents, bereavements or other tragedies that severely disrupt family life.
A serious illness, accident, death or other unforeseen tragedy can have a traumatic and grievous impact. Sometimes financial assistance is needed so students can continue their education at our School. At such times fee-relief can provide much needed solace and support at an extremely difficult time. The Heath Bursary Fund is a way for our community to provide this support.
The Heath Bursary Fund was set up to support families in these circumstances, to ensure that a child's education and school life at St Andrew's Cathedral School can continue when trauma surrounds them.
Bursaries are awarded at the discretion of the Head of School for a period of up to one year and are reviewed annually.
The amount and number of families that can be supported is limited to the availability of funds.
Students who are awarded the bursary will:
- Display a real desire to continue their education at our School
- Embrace what St Andrew's Cathedral School has to offer
- Positively contribute to the life and ethos of the School, and
- Be unable to continue their education here, or be significantly impacted, without the assistance of the bursary.
The Heath Bursary Fund was established by St Andrew's Cathedral School parents in 2005 and over the years has been supported by students, graduates, staff and families.
The Association of Parents and Friends and the Old Andreans Association have been generous donors to this fund and we are grateful for their continuing kindness.
You can support a School family in need by donating today.
Please note that donations to the Heath Bursary Fund are NOT tax deductible.
