Please join us for our 6th Research Conversations Conference.

St Andrew's Cathedral School proudly hosts the annual Research Conversation Conference, designed to offer high-quality, teacher-led professional development at an affordable cost. This event fosters connections between educational research and classroom practice, bringing together teachers and researchers in an informal, collaborative setting. The conference provides an opportunity for attendees to exchange ideas and insights, exploring how educational research, classroom-based studies, and teacher experiences are shaping teaching and learning.

This year's Keynote Speaker is Christopher Watkin, an Associate Professor of French and Francophone Studies at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He has written extensively on modern and contemporary European thought, atheism, and the relationship between the Bible and philosophy. He is the author of nine books, including "Difficult Atheism" (2011), "French Philosophy Today" (2016), "Michel Serres: Figures of Thought" (2020) and "Biblical Critical Theory" (2021), which was awarded Australian Christian Book of the Year 2023 and Christianity Today Book of the Year 2024.

In all his research, he seeks to make sense of how people make sense of the world. He currently serves as a Fellow of the Keller Center for Cultural Apologetics, as the Fellow in Bible and Culture for Reformed Theological Seminary, New York City, and as the 2025 Karlson Scholar with Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN.
