St Andrew's Cathedral School hosts the annual Research Conversation Conference which aims provide high-quality, teacher-driven professional development at a low cost that makes connections between educational research and teaching and learning. To bring together teachers and educational researchers in an informal and friendly setting to learn from each other by sharing how educational research, classroom-based research and teacher experience is impacting our teaching and learning. This year's Keynote Speaker is Tom Bennett, a former educator in London's East End for 13 years, gained recognition as a Teacher Fellow at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University in 2009. As an accomplished author with five books on teacher training and behaviour management, his work, including the bestselling Running the Room, has garnered international acclaim. Tom’s impact extends through founding researchED, an initiative fostering research literacy among teachers globally. Appointed School Behaviour Advisor to the Department for Education UK in 2015, his contributions to education continues, with roles in leadership reviews and behaviour initiatives. His coaching services, media presence, and OBE recognition in 2022 underscore his profound influence on education.
